I see this every year and I think the same thing "whad up with techno chicken?"

techno chicken kid is a sign that you shouldn't let your kid eat that piece of candy

ROFLMAO literally

I have tears rolling down my face. WTH? I've never seen that before. I think I need to buy it for the sheer humor. I would be laughing all the time. Knowing my kids though, they'd want to wear it to the grocery store or something.

Oh, and I look at random WWII era stuff, particulary music and fashion when I'm bumming around on the web.

You are so surprised, aren't you?

Sometimes, I'll look up dance stuff too though and maybe some literature oddity to make myself feel smart.

When I'm just playing around on the web, I am generally searching for one of the following:

- Retro/vintage clothes that are far too expensive for me, but lovely and fun.

- Brushes, textures, fonts, and the like for my graphic design fun

- Other wishful-thinking shopping. :)

I look up royal genealogy on wikipedia. You know, on off chance that I'm a princess.

What do you mean on the off chance, Katie? I always assumed you were. I guess I shouldn't be associating with you then, you lowly peasant.

No, no, don't worry. I'm descended from the 1st Duke of Northumberland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Percy%2C_1st_Duke_of_Northumberland

Oh, dear, a Duke. My lady!

Well, I am not sure of my lineage (in whole yet), except that rumor has it my French line has some defectors avoiding the French Revolution (so proud I am). My husband, is very blue-blood (chuckle). He's a descendant of Miles Standish. Beat that sister.

Katie said...

I can beat that. That Northumberland dude? I'm connected to him via his illegitimate son who endowed/founded the Smithsonian.

Oh, and I'm also descended from John Rolfe. Yeah, that's right. The guy who married Pocohontas. And subsequently killed her by taking her to England.

There's a senator and a wealthy Huguenot in there, too, but I'm so culturally Catholic that I'm ashamed of the Huguenot dude. Also he's related to Dick Cheney and Barack Obama. But do they have the Duval Society paperwork? Probably not. I do. Papers. I've got Papers.

This is all my maternal grandmother's side. That's where I get my fancy. I get my anglo-irishness from the rest.

Katie said...

Oooh, I'm also proud of your revolution defectors. The French Revolution was some BS.

Why on earth would you want to rename the months and eliminate the fancy people?

Heh. My family is afraid to trace my line, they just call us the "outlaws." That's Daddy's side. Mom is half German, half English. And people wonder what's wrong with me...

When I'm just browsing the net I'm looking at shoes (raise your hand if you didn't guess that), funky makeup (usually with glitter or in so-called wild colors), dance pics (Martha Graham, Erik Hawkins, Nureyev, Fonteyn, Barishnikov, etc...), vintage hats, funky boutique style clothing, witty tee shirts that no one really gets...You know, fun stuff.
